These glosses are part of the latest collection of products from L’Oreal, as part of the Candy Girl Collection. The collection is lovely , and comprising of Infallible Eye Shadows, which I have reviewed here, and there are also some nail polishes which I will review shortly. For now lets show off the glosses!
- Limited Edition shades – 6 to choose from!
- Available in Boots and Superdrug
- £7.65 for 6ml
- Shimmering, sugar coated glosses that are lightly pigmented!
- Two tones of gloss swirled into one gloss!
- Unique heart shaped wand for easy application
- 3/5 from me!
These glosses are super pretty and I like the concept of them being two toned swirled into one. All of the glosses contain quite a lot of shimmer but some more than others. All of the shades are tutti-fruity inspired shades!
The glosses in this collection are called Miss Candy, Dolce Pralina, Nude Bonbon, Pink Treat, Bubble Pink (not pictured) and Tart Lollipop.
They are probably on the sheerer side, with light pigmentation.
The glosses are really smooth and glide on easily, I absolutely love the heart shaped applicator – its unique to L’Oreal. The applicator means its really easy to re-apply this on the move, without a mirror to hand – I really like that. I wish all glosses had this type of applicator!
Here are swatches next to each other so you can compare them:
These glosses are scented, and the scent is initially pretty strong, but it fades within about 10 seconds of putting them on. The scent is a mix of vanilla and candy – it doesn’t bother me, but it might not appeal to others!
I do find that the glosses do not last that long on the lips, I have had better wear from other drugstore glosses such as Revlon, I wish the L’Oreal ones lasted longer. On the other hand these L’Oreal glosses last as long on me as the MAC Lustreglass glosses, so for the price the L’Oreal ones are much better value for money than MAC.
My favourite of the glosses in this collection are Tart Lollipop, Pink Treat or Nude Bonbon.
Overall, these glosses are decent enough – I really like the shades and the applicator, but the downsides for me are the fact the glosses don’t stay and they are a tiny bit too shimmery for me.
Superdrug have an offer for 3 for 2 on all L’Oreal at the moment, so take advantage of the offer now!
I am giving these 3/5!
What do think of these glosses, do you have any? Will you buying any of these? Please let me know!
Thanks for reading, Grace xx
P.S – this post contains P.R samples but that doesn’t effect my review, I am as honest as ever
