Herbalife Herbal Aloe Outer Nutrition Range
A couple of weeks ago I attended an event for a brand called Herbalife and we were introduced to a new line of products from them called the Herbal Aloe Outer Nutrition Range. As the name suggests Aloe Vera is a big component in these products and today I am going to show you a couple of products from the range!
As background, Herbalife are an online business, originally from the US and they specialise in health, nutrition and fitness products, as well as some beauty products (obviously!) They are sold through independent sales reps who will give you a password to their website, which you can then use to buy the products you want.
Here is a pic of the whole Herbal Aloe range:
I am reviewing the Herbal Aloe Soothing Gel and the Herbal Aloe Hand & Body Lotion in this post:
Summary:
Free from Parabens and Sulphates
Contain skin loving Aloe Vera as well as African Shea Butter
Hand & Body Lotion is £8.63 for 200ml
Soothing Gel is £8.63 for 200ml

Hand & Body Lotion is very moisturising and absorbs easily
Soothing Gel is lovely and light, and very cooling!
4/5 for the two products
Review:
First up lets talk about the Herbal Aloe Hand & Body Lotion
This is a good moisturiser, its great as a body lotion and also as a hand cream. It does a good job but importantly it absorbs really quickly and doesnt leave a sticky residue. This makes it perfect to use when you come out of the shower and need to get ready for work etc. This contains African Shea Butter. Nice.
As a handcream, its not the most intensive hand cream, but it does a decent enough job, unless you have very dry hands. You could put this near your kitchen sink and use it after you do the dishes – that way its accessible and would last a really long time! Given its size, this isnt comething you would throw in your handbag!?!
Here are the ingredients:
This contains Phenoxyethanol, which is a preservative and is often used instead of Parabens in products, there are reports about it being toxic and causing problems to the nervous system, so I am not sure its a good alternative to parabens. I am not a scientist or an expert, but I wanted to just point out that this contains it, but so many other products out there also contain it, so I am not saying we all panic and don’t it!
I like the scent of it, its refreshing but not too strong and overpowering.
Bottom line: I prefer it as a body lotion than as a hand cream, and its good!
Now on to the Herbal Aloe Soothing Gel
This is a really nice cooling product to use all over your body. Its perfect for after you have shaved your legs or maybe if you get a little sunburnt?! I think its a great product to have in all year round but in particular in the summer and on holiday. You can even chill it in the fridge for an extra cooling and soothing effect!
It feel amazing when you apply it after shaving. I havent had any sunburn to try it on but my flatmate got burnt earlier this week and I let her borrow it – she said it instantly cooled down her skin and made it a lot less sore, so its winner there.
This is not sticky and easily absorbed, like the hand and body lotion.
I love that one its main ingredients is the aloe vera leaf juice, so you are getting a lot of benefit from the natural extracts.
Once again this is a decent 200ml tube that will last quite a long time and is really good value for money. This is fragrance free.
Here are the ingredients:
Bottom line: Lovely to have after shaving your legs or as a normal body lotion, and fantastic to take on holiday to cool you down or if needed, slapped on sunburn!
Conclusion: I have to say I like both of the items I tried but I am not super keen on the packaging, its for want of a better word, a bit boring and doesnt grab my attention. Also, I think its a shame that these are only sold online. I like to use testers and smell products for before I buy them and I am hesitant buying somthing online if I have not seen it in person first. Maybe I just need to get over it?!
I will be trying more products from Herbalife soon, so watch out for more reviews.
