I have jumped on the huge band wagon with these Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains! - I and I think it was worth the jump!
After the Lip Butters have generally been a roaring success, Revlon have released these babies, and they are great!
£7.99 each (however they are on offer for £5.99 in both Boots and Superdrug)
Come in a variety of shades
Creamy formula, feel like a lipstick but soften lips like a balm!
Super long lasting – this is the stain element to them!
Doesn’t dry out lips at all but also not overly moisturising
The packaging is a little misleading – the shades look different!
Medium pigmentation and buildable!
Great value and really nice product
They are somewhat of a cross between a lip balm and a lip stain – and have been compared to the Clinique Chubby Sticks. I can’t comment personally on how similar they are, as I have never tried the Clinique ones myself.
I bought this in Honey (001) first. Its a lovely mauvey pink with some nude tones thrown in too. Its great for everyday where in the office or a natural make up day. It doesn’t contain any shimmer, Love this shade!
After a success with Honey I went and bought Lovesick – a gorgeous hot pink with hints of red in too – its a very summery colour and its a “little out there” but I love it!
These are twist up pencils (no need to sharpen them!) that are super creamy, like a balm. They glide on and are super easy to apply.
They have a slight sheen to them but they are a lot less glossy/shiny than the Revlon lip butters. I would say they have a lustre finish.
The pigmentation of Honey is probably medium. Its like a sheer/medium lipstick but more tinted than a regular tinted lip balm. I think its just right. Lovesick is a little more pigmented and both shades I have are buildable.
Neither of these dry out my lips at all, however I wouldnt say that they are too much like a balm – if you want a balm stick to something else or try the lip butters, however if you want a long lasting, non drying stain then these might be just right for you.
Where these really stand out for me is that they have fantastic lasting power! I can eat a whole meal and have drinks and they only fade a tiny bit, these are the longest lasting lip products I have used.
Here are the ingredients:
The drawback to these is that the shades dont really correspond with the packaging, so swatching them is important. Also I wish they would be better as balms, but given the lasting power I can get over the downsides.
I love these and since getting them I have hardly touched my beloved lip butters!
I think everyone should try them out and at £5.99 the price is really good! Go and get one now! You can check them out here.
Have you tried these already? Do you love them like I do? Have you got a Clinique one, if so how does it compare to these ones?!
Thanks for reading, Grace xx
