Review:
Melissa Moisturiser
Here is what Oh! Organics have to say about this Melissa moisturiser:
” This moisturiser is made using infusions and decoctions of Lemon Balm (melissa officinalis) plants; Cocoa butter, Mango butter, and lemon balm infused sweet almond oil. To this I have added Kiwi Seed oil, Borage oil, Thistle Seed oil and Jojoba oil. The essential oils in this cream are Melissa, Geranium, Jasmin, Lemongrass and Neroli. Not only do these oils help balance your skin they also smell divine.
This moisturiser is for younger skins – late teens to 30. Younger skin can be dry, oily, normal or a combination of these which is often due to stress and hormonal changes. The ingredients used in this range work to balance your skin. This rich cream will sink into your skin without leaving a greasy film on it, making it easier to apply longer lasting makeup after using it!”
I think this is a nice moisturiser which seemed to balance my skin and make it less oily on my T zone which is my main problem area when it comes to being oily. This is very hydrating and a small amount goes a long way. It sinks in and doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the skin. It also wears very well under makeup. Another plus is that it didnt break me out!! This may be a little too heavy and rich if you have very oily skin, but other skin types should be fine with this cream.
The only things I don’t like about it that I don’t like that it comes in a pot (if I were to buy the full size) – I prefer products with pumps so that it is more hygeinic. The other downside for me was the scent of this moisturiser. I am not fond on the smell although it does dissipate fairly quickly once applied. If this has SPF in it, I would love that! I like multi-tasking products
The bottom line is that if you want a good organic moisturiser for everyday use then this is a reasonably priced option.
What is great is that Oh! Organics offer samples of this on their website for free (just pay for postage), so that is a great way to try it out!
3.5/5 for me for this moisturiser!

Melissa Toner
Here is what Oh! Organics have to say about their toner:
“This toner is made from flower waters extracted from essential oil distillation process. This toner contains, Lemon balm,Geranium and Orange flower waters; witch hazel and glycerine. This lovely floral scented toner is non-drying and refreshes your skin. It is gentle and alcohol free and adds a fine layer of moisture. over you face and body to revitalise at any time.Pour it onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over the face and neck area after cleansing. Alternatively you can use it as a spritz over your face and body at any time to refresh and revitalise your skin.”
I really like this toner! Its so lovely to use and does an excellent job of cleaning my skin of any residue of makeup or dirt after I have washed my face, and it does not irritate my acne prone skin or dry out my skin – its just right. Its also very pleasant to use as a face mist on a hot day, and it does not mess up your makeup! I am really looking forward to taking this to Ibiza with me at the end of August and using it when I get too hot! The scent is pleasant and light and its just a delightful toner. I think the price is really good value for a lovely organic product. I like the packaging too – its so handy for your handbag
Big thumbs up from me and no negatives!
Here are the ingredients of the Toner:
Melissa Officinalis Flower/Leaf/Stem Water, Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Water, Pelargonium Graveolens Water, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
All in all, I like both products in the Melissa range, but the toner is my favourite. I think this is a lovely brand to try if you want to use handmade organic products and support a UK small business. I want to thank Oh! Organics for sending me these products so I can spread the word. The fact you can order a sample of the moisturiser for free is a big plus…..go on – go and order yourself one and other goodies like this toner NOW!
