INIKA Blush in Peachy Keen – Simply Gorgeous!
Hello
A few weeks back I reviewed the gorgeous eye liners from INIKA and now today I am reviewing on of their beautiful blushes – Peachy Keen…warning: this blush is stunning and you will want it badly! Just letting you know! Oh…and the photos do not do this blush justice, at all!
First, if you are not familiar with INIKA here is some background:
INIKA are one of the only ALL natural and almost all organic make up companies out there – and they are awsesome. Some companies claim to be natural and some claim to make mineral makeup, but a look at the ingredients list and you know that they are not as natural as they seem.
This is where INIKA is different………
INIKA is also the only cosmetics brand that is certified as being Halal, which to me is amazing since I am Muslim! They have won awards and they are in the process of adding more products to their line and hopefully growing even more! I cannot wait to try more products from them!
There is an interesting story about how INIKA, which started in Australia, which you can read on the website here. I have met the founder, Miranda at an event in John Lewis and she is lovely!
Summary:
This is a loose mineral blush
Costs £17.00 for 3g
Has great pigmentation
Contains fine micro shimmer for a satin finish and subtle gorgeous glow
Easy to applies and blends like a dream
Lasts all day – even on my oily skin!
5/5 from me – love love love this blush!
Here is what INIKA has to say about it:
“Peachy Keen – A warm peach shade for light and medium skin tones.
INIKA Mineral Blush (3g) gives you warm, luscious colours delivered straight from nature!
The texture is extraordinarily soft while the lack of fillers means that the pigment is super concentrated, so a little goes a long way! Free of oil, alcohol, talc, fillers, fragrance, preservatives and chemical dyes for all day colour and a long lasting youthful glow”
My thoughts:
I am a blush addict. There, I have said it! Phew…I have a lot of blushes – maybe over 100 or so?! I cannot get enough of blush and I try and wear a different one everyday.
This INIKA blush has blown some of my others out of the water. Honestly – I love it THAT much! It is the first loose mineral blush I have tried, most of mine are powder and I have a few liquid ones – but this is amazing!
For a start it is super finely milled – its extremely fine and gorgeous to touch. The blush itself is very pigmented and as its finely milled the application is smooth and this blush blends like a dream.
You only need to *dab* your brush in the product to pick up a tiny amount of product and you are good to go! This blush will last for a very long time since you dont need to re-apply and you only need a small amount! Perfecto!!
I have oily skin and trouble getting any blush to last all day. If it does, I am extremely impressed…..I was super excited and delighted that this blush does last ALL DAY and evening on my skin - no need to re-apply!
The photos of this blush do not do it justice. Its super pretty, and due to the glow it gives you can skip highlighter and wear this on a night out – however its not too sparkly for the day in my opinion. You will not look like a disco ball with this!
See – its not glitter mania is it?!
I can imagine this suiting pale to medium skinned gals who are both warm and cool toned – and darker ladies could possibly use it has a highlighter?
One tiny downside since I am always objective is that some girls might find the sifter jar annoying and messy, but as long as you are careful not to pick up too much product and tap your brush you should be fine with this. You can also keep the sticker on and just pierce a hole or two in it, which is what I have done.
Here are the ingredients:
Mica (CI 77019); Zinc Oxide (CI 77947); May contain (+/-) Tin Oxide (CI 778161); Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891); Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499); Ultramarines (CI 77007).
In a nutshell: This is the prettiest blush I own out my crazy collection, it performs and it doesnt contain any nasty chemicals. What more could you want?
I wish that INIKA was more widely available at more John Lewis branches and other stores. You can order online but I don’t like to do that with make up…I prefer to see it in a store. I hope in time they will be in more stores.
For now, if you are in London, head to the John Lewis on Oxford St and check out the whole range! Also you can visit the website here
I could rave about it on and on but I won’t, I will be quiet now! Just do yourself a favour and go and buy this. Trust me, it will become your favourite blush too!
I need to go and look at it again…….its that lovely!
Like I need to spell it out – 5/5!

Fab blush, makes me giggle that the sticker over the holes has to have, ‘Please remove this before use’. Are people really that stupid? x
