#LIVEBloggers Event Co-Hosted with Social Beautify!
On Tuesday 11th September, myself another lovely blogger called Ewa from Social Beautify hosted the first ever LIVE bloggers event! We had a lovely venue at the Picadilly Institute in London which had WiFi and we invited a group of lovely bloggers along. The idea behind the event was to have an event run by bloggers for bloggers and to tweet, instagram and mini blog about certain beauty products based on our topics of discussion!
Here is a list of the bloggers who attended our event and their great blogs! Make sure you check them out!
Amelia – from Liana Beauty
Laura from Laura Lou Beauty
Lola from Lola Star Hearts
Annie from EpiphannieA
Hafsa from Muslimah Beauty
Victoria from VikBeauty
Sam from Honey Go Lightly
Julie from Sweets Are My Weakness
Lisa from Brunette Beauty Banter
Cat from Perfectly Polished Nails
Aysh from Discovering Beauty
Vicki from Lets Talk Beauty
Mez from Mez Made Up
The topics for discussion on the night where what are your main “splurge” items that you are willing to spend a lot of money on and what are your best budget buys that are a low price but really perform. I think since everyone is concerned about money these days, the topics are really relevant and we ladies love our beauty products!!
We all tweeted our discussion and our followers pitched in with lots of suggestions themselves and it was a great discussion! We were also Instagraming pics live from the event as it happened!
We pretty much decided that these items were everyone’s best “splurge” items: High end foundations, good skincare such as the Hydra-Gel one from Love Your Skin London, Rapidlash (as modelled by the lovely Ewa!) Illamasqua for blushes, Bumble & Bumble for hair care items, Xen Tan for safe and effective tanning, INIKA for natural and cruelty free makeup….the list goes on and on!
And that these are everyones best “budget” items: MUA, Sleek and ELF for great budget buys, Nip & Fab for their lovely duper of a Laura Mercier body butter, Elegant Touch nail wraps for a quick and cheap nail make-over, Etat Pur for their affordable and brilliant skincare, the list could go on and on….!
As all this discussion and tweeting was hard work we also nibbled on some food and muffins and washed it all down with some drinks! Blogging takes it out of you, you know!
The hashtag of the night was #LiveBloggers
Here are just some of the tweets from that night:
Here is a pic of the items in the great goody bags:
Some of the brands that were involved and very kindly donated products to use on the night were:

Tommy Guns – a fantastic and fun brand for effective haircare products
Etat Pur – an affordable and well performing skincare brand

Here is a little pic of the goody bag prep before the bloggers got there!
I want to say a big thank you to all the girls who came and also to the brands and PRs who helped us make the event so great and provided us with items to tweet and blog about! Also a big thank you of course to Ewa! I would LOVE to hold another event in the future – lets see what happens in the new year! This was hard work but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
