I love skincare, you are a regular on the blog then you will  know that by now, and I love exfoliating products! I heard that Nip & Fab were making this long ago and I couldnt wait to try it! At last these are out in stores!

60 Pads cost £12.95

They are sold online, in Boots and some Sainsburys stores.

This is what Nip + Fab have to say about them:

Get brighter, smoother + younger-looking skin with Glycolic Fix, an innovative set of exfoliating pads packed with glycolic acid to improve skin tone + texture.

These anti-ageing must-haves contain glycolic + hyaluronic acids to stimulate cell turnover for a smoother, brighter + rejuvenated complexion.

With a hydrating formula, glycolic fix contains;

  • glycolic acid retextures + resurfaces
  • hyaluronic acid moisturises + refreshes
  • blue daisy  soothes + calms

What is Glycolic Acid?

Glycolic acid, which is an AHA, when used in moderation can be fantastic to exfoliate and reveal smoother skin. Its important not to use something too strong or to use it too much. It can help to improve wrinkles, acne scars and hyperpigmenation. Dermatologists can perform chemical peels using  it – they use it in a 20-70% stregnth.

Review:

This little beauty – Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix comes in a low concentration – its 4% and therefore you can use it without worrying too much. It doesnt actually say on the packaging that its 4%, the PR fo the company told me this.

You apply to these to cleansed skin. They work to remove any dead skin particles and can refine the appearance of the skin. They do not sting my face, or make it red, or dry it out which is great.

After using these my skin is definitely smoother and I can immediately notice the results! I feel like my skin is brighter (I know it sounds cheesy!).  I want to see if long term they will help with my acne scarring and overal complextion.

The instructions say you can use them daily but personally I think that is not necassary, and once or twice a week is enough, but its up to you how you use them.

Its imortant to use a moisturiser with SPF in it after using anything with glycolic acid – even in winter.

Here are the ingredients – please note these contain alcohol and phenoxythanol in them which may bother some people:

Overall, I really like these, you get 60 pads which will last a long time and they are not too harsh. With the exception of people with sensitive skin, I think anyone can use these. My initial thoughts are that these are great and I hope to update my review once I have used them for a couple of months.

I feel that these are another affordable but winning product from Nip + Fab!

At the moment these are getting 4/5

  • Hi Dani

I will defo keep you all posted. I know for very bad scars you need to use something stronger – like having a chemical peel at a dermatologist but anyway, I will keep you all posted long term.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • Hi Lilja

Thanks for your comment, I dont think you need a toner after using this but I think its important to moisturise, if still in doubt then its best to ask Nip + Fab directly.

  • Hi, I’m trying this out as well. hmmm but I’m not sure on how to use it. After I wipe my skin with do I leave it own and continue with toner serum moisturizer or do I have to rinse it?

  • Hi Farhana, once you have used the pad, no need to rinse, just continue with the rest of your routine but I would say you dont need to use to a toner (just my opinion). I hope that helps!

  • Very helpful review! I’ve been considering this purchase for a while but was unsure as to how strong it was. I use the REN glycolactic mask once a fortnight and I think this would be a great twice-weekly accompaniment. I look forward to hearing how you get on as I too am look for ways to clear up my acne scarring. :)
