Double click to enlarge

You may have already heard about this site on other blogs but a great new natural health and beauty website has just launched. This is right up my street, as you will know if you are a regular on my blog! Natures Healthbox has hundreds of natural beauty products, vitamins, food supplements and more! They are based in the UK and have great customer service! They sent me two items from Trilogy, beautifully packaged, to try out and here are my thoughts on them!

Trilogy Cream Cleanser

£22.49 for 200ml – can be used by all skin types

I have heard good things about this cleanser and I was excited to try this! Its a double award winner and I have only really heard good things about it!

I have recently stopped using all foaming cleansers as they stripped my skin and made me overly oily.

This cream cleanser is really nice, its better than all of the other 4 cream cleansers I have tried and I already know its going to be a beauty staple for me.

This smells midly herbal and its got a relaxing scent. I apply this to dry skin in the evenings and work it into my skin for a minute or so. Then with a wet muslin cloth I start removing the cream and the dirt, grime and makeup from the day goes with it. What is great is that you can even use this for eye makeup removal, it works a treat.

This is one of the most effective cleansers I have ever used! It leaves my skin very clean,  but not dry or stripped at all. It actually leaves my skin feeling moisturised and really looked after – like I have had a facial.

When I first started using this I was worried it would break me out – its not done that at all, in fact my breakouts have decreased. I am totally and utterly in love with this cleaner!

What I do not like about it is the fact the bottle is glass, it looks lovely but is not travel friendly so de-canting into a plastic bottle is essential if you ask me. It also contains Phenoxyethanol, which I am not keen on, but it is mostly natural.

If you are looking for a natural, effective cleanser, in particular a cream cleanser then please please please buy this – it is fantastic and I don’t think you will regret it. I am going to definitely buy this once my current bottle of it runs out!

Ingredients in the Cleanser:

Aqua (Purified Spring Water), Glycerin, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cetearyl Wheat Straw Glycosides & Cetearyl Al, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Oil, Ormenis Multicaulis (Chamomile Flower) Oil, citrus aurantium amara (bitter orange) flower, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum, Citral, Geraniol, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, *Components of Natural Essential Oils

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+

£26.49 for 30ml and can be used by all skin types.

I have tried Rosehip oil before, its amazing for its anti-aging and skin refining properties. I don’t use it as often as I should but I vow to be better now! This oil from Trilogy have infused Rosehip seed oil with other amazing skin loving ingredients to become a super oil! Trilogy have created Rosapene which is a red berry seed oil blend, and I have been loving it! This featured in Bazaar magazine Beauty Hot 100 and I can see why!

I apply this oil at night after cleansing my face, in place of a night time moisturiser. I like to apply this to slightly damp skin as I find with any oil it absorbs much quicker than on dry skin. This sinks right in and despite what you might think, its not heavy at all.

After using it for only one night, my skin was plump and nourished in the morning  The effects have just been increasing since then and my skin has improved a lot in the last month of using this product. I find I am less oily on my T zone, my skin is more moisturised and it looks a lot healthier. I think this is product is a keeper for me, and I hope in the long run my skin thanks me for using it.

If you have never used natural oils and are a bit reluctant, I seriously urge you to try an oil, whether its this fantastic blend or something like Rosehip or Argan oil.

Since you only need 2-3 drops per night this oil will go a long way and is great value for money. Best thing of all is that its natural but effective.

Here are the ingredients:

Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Oil, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract

  • Hi Nicola, describing scents is not a strong point of mine but I would say this has a slightly woody scent – its not like Argan oil – I know what you mean about the scent of some of those. I find the scent quite pleasant. Some Boots stores carry this product so you may be able to go and have a sniff before purchasing. I am sorry I cant be of much help regarding a description of the scent.

Thank you for the comment :-)

  • Really useful post! I’m a big fan of natural beauty products and Trilogy is easily one of my favourite brands. I bought the original Rosehip Oil last year and did a blog post on it, I’ve been testing out the Antioxidant+ version myself too and it’s been equally (if not even slightly more) amazing.
