BeneFit Cosmetics – Fine One One
BeneFit are known for making some great, fun cosmetics and this is the latest addition to their family!
I was lucky enough to be invited to an event at the Spitalfields boutique, where we got to meet the daughters of one of the founders, Maggie & Annie Danielson – BeneFit’s global beauty authorities, who were over from America!
This new product – Fine One One is a cream to powder lip and cheek product. Its already out in the USA (where it promptly sold out) and will be launched here in the UK on Saturday 26th January.
This is £23.50 for 8g.
This is what BeneFit have to say about it:
This sheer brightening cheek & lip colour gives your look an instant lift, shape & pop. Glide on the three shades – pink champagne, sheer watermelon and soft coral – for a sheer coral pink flush that builds from soft and natural to bright and cheery.
Initial Thoughts:
Firstly like many BeneFit products the packaging is cute and girly with a little bit of cheeky twist. The high shine rose gold packaging is lovely and its fairly small, which is good for popping into your handbag.
You twist it up to get the product out – like an old school stick of deodorant (sorry, but its true!). You apply it by swiping it across your cheekbones and then blending with your finger. This can also be applied on the lips, however I think that is best done with a lip brush.
This is apparently the first ever cream to powder product which combines three shades on one product! I like the idea behind it…
At first I was sceptical about the finish and thought it would be extremely shimmery or glittery but its not like that – the finish gives you a lovely very subtle glow (cheesy, but true) that is both uplifting but also quite fresh and natural looking. I like the look a lot so I was wrong to be worried!
Here are some swatches in different lights but both without flash:
As a blush it is fairly sheer but also buildable. BeneFit say this is for all skin tones but I think fair to medium will get the most use out of it. Darker tones can use this as lovely subtle highlight/luminzer but possibly not as a blush.
One the lips you can wear this alone or on top of a lipstick or lip tint. Worn alone it gives a very nude shade. I don’t think I will wear this a lot as a lip colour.
Due to the nature of the product I think it its hard to use one colour by itself (for example on your lips) unless you had a brush, which I think is a shame but maybe that was not BeneFit’s intention when making this.
In terms of how it wears I am pleased to report – its really good! I normally find that cream products do not last that long on me due to my oily skin but this LASTS! I applied it at 7.30am It only faded a little bit at 9pm, so I think the wear is great and if you have normal skin it should last even longer on you.
Overall this is very nice if you want a natural looking pop of colour or to apply lightly on a “no makeup/natural” day. If you want to apply it on top of your blush for some extra dimension and oomph. Lasting power is great and its so easy to apply, even on the go!
I am not sure how long this would last if you were to use it everyday, not that long I imagine – meaning not the best value for money. I do love the light and application friendly packaging – great for on the go or if you travel a lot! I also have reservations as to how this will hold up in the summer in its tube – I can picture this melting but I would be wrong (it has been know to happen!!)
Is it a must have? No, but it is mighty fine (haha, I couldn’t resist!) addition to your makeup bag!
It is out this Saturday so go and check it out at the counter and see what you think – I think its going to be popular, there is already a lot of love it in the makeup world!
You can see the ingredients here. BeneFit products are paraben free – did you know that? I certainly didn’t until that event!
So, what do you think? Do you want to give this a try? Is it mighty fine to you? Drop me a comment and let me know!
Thanks for reading!

P.S – this post contains a PR sample, however my reviews are always honest and my thoughts are my own
You can trust me on that, but you cant trust me not to steal your blusher if I like it!

Very cute product. But why oh why do all Benefit products cost £23.50 or there abouts no matter what size they are. This one makes me think of neopolitan ice cream, but the colour pay off doesn’t look impressive.

This looks lovely Grace! I do have a soft spot for Benefit cosmetics even though they are a tad pricey! This kinda reminds me of ELF’s All over color sticks

I got this on the day of the launch and I love it!! I tend to press it on to the apple of my cheek with the highlitghter side down, the twist 180 degrees (twisting the highlighter towards the nose) then glide up my cheek and blend. Works a treat and you don’t you that much at all.
