Diego Dalla Palma Summer Blush

Okay so I admit it, I am a massive blush addict, I don’t know what I would without it and its for sure one my “desert island” must haves – along with mascara.

Diego Dalla Palma (“DDP”)  is a brand I have not tried before, but when I saw it, it screamed at me! Its an Italian brand and is well known there, but has only recent made an appearance to the UK market. Its sold online and in Marks & Spencers  and Debenhams stores.

I bought this blush from BeautyBay for £17 however its no longer on there. You buy it from Debenhams where its £19.00.

I know its not summer now, but this is gorgeous!

This is what DDP have to say about it:

A compact powder for cheeks, in 3 rosy shades for a single product. Thanks to its ultra-fine powders, the product adheres perfectly to the skin, guaranteeing absolute comfort and long wear. Its weightless and silky texture ensures a uniform finish.

Review:

The blush is a palette of 3 blushes which I think is lovely for mixing up the shades or using them individually.  DDP are right the blush is finely milled and really smooth meaning it applies beautifully and evenly and its easy to blend. The pigmentation of the blush is medium – but it gives a lovely gorgeous rosy flush to the cheeks.

The option of having three shades in one means if you are going away on holiday then you only need to take this one blush with you to create a variety of looks. I love versatility when it comes to makeup and this certainly gives that.

The packaging is well made and a nice size, there is a handy mirror on the lid. The wear of this blush is average for me, I get about 5-6  hours from it before it needs to be touched up a little, but it only fades a little so, for me the wear is good. I have moderately oily skin so its hard to find a blush that really lasts all day for me.

Here are swatches of the 3 shades – the light pink doesnt show up on me too well but the others are fabulous.

The ingredients of this are the only downside for me, it does contain parabens and talc which is not ideal but also to be expected. Here are the ingredients:

Whilst this is not the cheapest of blushes, the fact you get 3 beautiful shades and the good quality means it’s a winner in my book.

I’m interested in trying more products from DDP from now on!

  • Oh wow that looks lovely! I’ll need to look in to this brand i’ve never heard of them before. In the last half of last year I really got in to my blushers and became a tad obsessed with them. Perhaps i’ll buy something from them after my ban.
