Proactiv Oil Blotter Sheets

Double click to enlarge

Its no secret that I am an oily girl. I have an oily T Zone that looks like a mirror come lunch time!

I got these little blotting sheets from Proactiv at a Bloggers Lunch I attended back in December. I was so excited to try them as I need all the help I can get when it comes to oil control!

This is what Proactiv have to say about them:

These cost £6.95 and can be bought here.

 Review:

These blotting sheets are free from any powder or other product. They are quite large which I think is good, they are about twice as big as normal blotting sheet. They are really thin – they remind of me very thin greaseproof paper! I guess that is what they essentially are!

I like that they come in a little carry case and its easy to pull a sheet out. Very handy when you are on the go. I also really like they don’t have any product on them since that is not ideal if you are allergic to talc and other products, or if you are a guy and don’t want to use powdered blotting sheets or other “makeup”.

In terms of performance, these are okay but not fantastic. Despite the large size I actually find I have to use two or three as they are so thin. They do a reasonable job of blotting and I prefer them to the powdered variety, but I think the Kleenex ones I have reviewed here are better than these. The Kleenex ones are made of a different material, almost like a plastic and they are nice and thick meaning they absorb more oil than these.

I really like the fact these are made from natural fibers and don’t contain any powder or product, but I am not in love with them.

I think the Proactiv ones are reasonable value for money and worth a try but you might want to try the Kleenex ones first?!
