A few weeks back, before Christmas I went to a lovely bloggers lunch organised by the lovely Julie and Safira. You can read up about that event here. At the event we were lucky enough to be given this awesome Slendertone Face to try out.
I have tried the Slendertone Bottom before and I have to say, I really liked it. It helped to tone up my bum, so I know Slendertone products do work! I was excited to try the Slendertone Face!
Here is a little a post on my initial thoughts on it – it takes 12 weeks to see the full effects and then of course you have to keep using it to maintain the results.
This is what Slendertone have to say about it:
Skin conditions appeared will visible to reduced, complexions brightened and overall health of the skin improved markedly. This improvement is caused by the increased bloodflow to the muscles/skin, which increases oxygenation and clears toxins that can cause skin conditions. This is why we have included a unique skin ‘Radiance’ programme within Slendertone Face that can be used if you feel your skin needs a radiance ‘boost’.
The intensity of each programme can be altered by the user to suit their desired outcome and their facial sensitivity: in the ‘Massage’ setting Slendertone Face is designed to provide a 15 minute soothing and relaxing facial massage, in ‘Radiance’ mode it helps to increase the circulation around the face, giving it a healthier, more radiant glow in 10 minutes. The ‘Lift’ programme is designed to retrain and firm the facial muscles for restoring radiance and the youthful shape of your face while reducing the signs of aging. It is recommended that the device is used for up to 20 minutes, five times a week for twelve weeks to feel the full rejuvenation effects. It’s a new approach to anti-ageing – from the inside out.
• Ultrasound imagery showed an average increase in muscle plumpness of 18.6% – some increasing as much as 46%
• 94% reported their face felt firmer
• 90% reported improvement in facial toning
• 80% reported their face looked lifted
This costs £250 normally but is now on sale for £199!
The instruction manual good and the device is really easy to use, just make sure your hair is tied back or it will stick to the sticky pads on the device! It looks like a pair of headphones!
From the first time I used this I cranked it up to 18 out of a max setting of 20. Its not painful at all, but you can feel the “pulses” and I like that! I use it in the evening after I have washed and dried my face. Its quiet and you can just sit and watch telly when its on or read a book. Its quite tight on me but not uncomfortably so. I actually really like using it – its a nice feeling and I am almost gutted when I hear the “peep” that the session is over.
Immediately after use my skin is not all that different….I cant honestly say that in the week of using it I have noticed any amazing results and I now have the cheekbones of Angelina Jolie but its a nice little device!
I plan on using this for the next 11 weeks and then letting you all know every now and again how I am doing with it. I hope by week 12 to have some amazing things to say about it!
For more info on the device have a look the Slendertone website – there is loads of info there!
I cant wait to see what the other bloggers think about their Slendertone Face, it will be interesting to see what we all think of it as a whole!
What do you think about the Slendertone? Is it something you would use?
Thanks for reading!
P.S – this post contains a PR sample, however my reviews are always honest and my thoughts are my own You can trust me on that, but you cant trust me not to steal your blusher if I like it!
