Glamglow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment Mask

Oh hello there....!! Double click to enlarge

Its no secret I love face masks! Its one of my favourite pampering treats and I need to do it often as I have congested acne prone skin.

A few months back I got to try Glamglow Mud Mask and I loved it – it was the best face mask (out of the hundreds I have used) and I immediately bought it once my sample was used up. You can read my review for that here.

The makers of that mask now have a new mask – its called the Glamglow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment Mask. This retails for £44.99 for 30ml.

This is what Glamglow have to say about it:

SUPER-MUD is the world’s most scientifically advanced mud clearing treatment, created to help fight all common skin concerns…

SUPER-MUD is the Solution….

This amazing detoxifying mud mask is fantastic for fighting all common skin concerns – it helps with the brightening and evening of the complexion; creates a more youthful and smooth skin tone; improves elastin and collagen; de-clogs and minimises pore size and fights unwanted breakouts, by reducing redness and super-speeding the healing process.

SUPER-MUD can be used as a full mask for the entire face or simply as a one-spot wonder solution! With SUPER-MUD you can visibly see the congestion pull-out from your pores as it dries, giving immediate results in just one use.

Review:

In a nutshell, this is my new love. I do still think the other Glamglow mask is wonderful….but this is my new favourite – without a doubt. I am in awe of this baby.

Like many clay masks this is a dark green colour and dries to be fairly hard, but not as hard as most masks I have tried. You only need a thin layer for it be really effective. You can leave it on for 5,10,15 or 20 minutes. I tend to wear it for the full whack!

I wont go into too much detail on what its good for since its all listed above but this works! For me on my acne prone skin with enlarged pores, it works wonders!

It deep cleanses my pores, making my pores appear smaller – this effect lasts for days, it dries out any existing blemishes or spots – but importantly it does not dry out my skin, which can commonly happen with a clay mask.

I also use this as  a spot treatment. I apply a tiny bit on top of any nasty whiteheads and go to sleep – in the morning they are completely dried out and much less inflamed – its an absolute God send for this reason!

If you need a really good, effective mask for deep cleansing and tackling blemishes then look no further. It is not all that hard to wash off either which I think is a saving grace. Some clay masks are a nightmare!

Unlike the original Glamglow – this does not tingle when applied to the skin, making it much more suitable if you have sensitive skin.

There are some natural extracts and acids in the mask, making it super effective but not too harsh:

For me, this is magic in a tub and I cant rave about it enough. I use this once or twice a week and as a spot treatment when needed and my skin loves me for it. I don’t ever want to be without this! My skin has not been so clear or looking so good for about 15 years (before Acne came into my life basically!). I think this mask does everything it promises, it really does deliver.

Here is a quick comparison with the original Glamglow – The original Glamglow tingles when applied and it has an exfoliating action, which I love. This mask does not tingle, making it more suitable for all skin types. The Super Mud is perfect for imperfect skin – blemish prone skin will love this, where as the original is good for all kinds of skin concerns as that is more a “facial in a jar”.

You may think this is pricey. Yes, its not cheap – but it works so well and you only need a thin layer so its worth it if you ask me. Invest in it and you wont regret it!!

Hands down favourite mask….and I have tried hundreds and nothing beats this, not even the original Glamglow. I challenge anyone not to benefit from this mask!

Here are the ingredients – I am not keen on the phenoxyethanol and the multitude of parabens, but all is forgiven since I really do love the results of this mask. Cant have it all I guess?!

What do you think? I have you convinced you to give it a try? If not then I have failed…this mask is awesome and you need to try it at least once! If you have a favourite mask you think beats this drop me a line and let me know!

  • I tried the original Glam Glow and surprisingly it DID NOT tingle my face at all!!! It was a tiny little sample though, so maybe not enough product. I was confused, but it left my skin feeling really lovely. I would love to try this one.
