KIKO is an Italian brand of makeup that I feel doesnt get enough recognition in the UK. It is sold online in the UK and there are some stores also, Westfield Stratford being one example.
I picked up these two gorgeous pencils a couple of months ago. I have them in 407 and 409.
These costs £4.20 for 1.14g – however they are on offer now for only £2.90 each! Link
This is what KIKO say about them:
Semi-soft line, with a high concentration of pigment for a luminous effect.
Easy to blend. Holds up to 6 hours. Waterproof formula.
These pencils are lovely, they are soft enough not to scratch or drag on your lid when you use them but firm enough not to crumble enabling you to get a nice line. If you want to smudge you have time before the pencil sets. These are very easy to work with.
They are also richly pigmented – they are not as pigmented as say the Urban Decay pencils but they do patch a decent punch! I love the pearlised finish, its so pretty and sophisticated and a step up from shimmer.
I adore the colours – one is a rich midnight blue with purple undertones and it stunning, the other is a lovely deep teal with green undertones which is also really pretty. I adore both of them but the blue is my favourite of the pair.
The wear of these is very good. I have been wearing them all day long they don’t smudge at all until I remove them about 10pm. They fade very slightly – maybe by 15% or so and that is only after about 8 hours of wear. On the waterline I get a good 6-7 hours out these before they have faded away, which I think is really good for the waterline.
I am sold on these, they are great value for money and an absolute steal at the moment since they are on offer. There is a total of 16 shades so if these two that I have don’t float your boat then check out the others.
Here are the ingredients:
If you are on a budget and want some gorgeous liners then you its needless to say you are getting a great product with these babies. Another winner from KIKO, I am yet to be disappointed by this brand it gives much more expensive products a serious run for their money!
