Perfect Eyelashes – My Lash Extension Experience

Double click to enlarge

I love dramatic lashes but I am rubbish at applying strip lashes. Lash extensions have always appealed to me and when I got the opportunity to  have them done at Perfect Eyelashes I was excited to give them a try!

Perfect Eyelashes is owned and run by the lovely Agnes. She has been in the lash extension business for 4 years and has three branches now, the main one being in Kensington, London.

She has many loyal clients, some of which are celebrities – they include Lilly Allen, Stacy Solomon and the TOWIE girls.

The salon is lovely, its decorated beautifully and there is ambient relaxing music playing to set the mood and help you drift off to sleep when the lashes are being applied.

When I got to the salon Agnes conducted an in-depth consultation having considered the size and shape of my eyes, my natural lashes and the look I wanted to achieve. I said I wanted something glam and a little dramatic!

Here are my lashes before the treatment – I have longer than average lashes but they are not nothing special as you will see….

It should be noted that the lashes are made from silk (not animal hair) and there is a whole range of different lengths, thickness’ and curls which you can choose from – I completely put my trust in Agnes as I know she is an expert. I appreciate the time Agnes spent talking to me about what I wanted. She decided on the length of lashes she would use and that they would have a curl to open up my eyes more. Many salons do not do this and want to get the done quickly. Agnes picked out a few different lashes which would be used in combination to create my finished look.

I then lay on the bed and the procedure began – having these individual lashes applied is quite time consuming – it takes anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours for a full set to be applied and you have to keep your eyes closed for the whole time!

The procedure was not painful or uncomfortable at all – a pampering mask was applied to my under eye area containing collagen. The lashes were delicately applied with a glue which is black. I found it hard not to fidget and move but that is because I find it hard to sit still at the best of times, let alone for 1.5-2 hours!

Once the procedure was finished I couldnt wait to open my eyes and see the finished look! I was gob smacked to see the lashes – they looked absolutely gorgeous and I was blown away. There were much nicer and prettier than I had imagined. The lashes themselves feel really light and feel very comfortable – its like I am not wearing them at all. I think this is due to the fact they are silk and expertly applied.

I cant stress how much I am pleased with these! They look really natural and the feel so nice – I am in love!

It is important to take care of them well, following the instructions Agnes has given me. For example you cant use an oil based eye makeup remover and its best to sleep facing up rather than on your side so that you dont damage the lashes.

With good care they should last around 4 weeks after which time you can have in-fills put done for £60.

I think these are fantastic quality, very lightweight and expertly applied and I highly recommend paying Agnes a visit.

Prices start from £80 for a full set. The lash treatment I had costs £120 – however for this week, to celebrate Valentines Day Agnes is running a promotion and the treatment will cost £60 this week! If you are in London and want to give these a try then make an appointment NOW. This brilliant offer is only on until the end of this week (Feb 15th).

  • They look amazing Grace <– see what I did there :) I'm not sure I'd get them done, purely because already on my right eye (the extra hooded one) if I'm relaxed my lashes will touche my eyebrow… so these would be a bit too much for me I think :p

  • They look amazing!!! I had lash extensions done once but I didn’t prolong it even though they looked absolutely amazing and I loved them. I guess I just couldn’t really be as careful because I turn sides when I sleep and stuff like that. :)
