I love argan oil, I have loved it since discovering it a couple of years back and now I am hooked. I did notice that increasingly argan oil has crept its way into hair and skincare products – and now, even makeup! This mascara from Pur Minerals is the first time I have personally seen argan oil in a mascara, but when you think about it – why not? Its moisturising and conditioning, right?!
This is what Pur Minerals have to say about it:
Take your lashes to the extreme with Pür‘s mascara miracle! Fortified with Argan Oil, this game-changing formula envelops lashes in nourishing, knockout colour with endless build and dewy sheen. And with our exclusive, clump-resistant wand, getting smooth, evenly coated lashes is easy—even in tough inner corners! Now, that’s a stroke of genius.

Firstly I have to say this, being bright pink looks more like a lip gloss than a mascara, and I like that! Its something a bit different. The wand on this is quite large and its latex. Normally I am not usually keen on latex brushes, I am a traditional bristle girl but this one is okay and doesn’t intimidate me, unlike some!
The formula of the mascara is quite “wet”, this means you have to be more careful not to get it all over the place. I found this mascara a little messy in that regard. It also means it takers longer to dry than most mascara’s I am used to. I am not sure if the “wet” element of the mascara is due to the added argan oil or not?
The mascara gives quite good length, two coats of this is probably enough. Any more and I think you will have problems with it getting clumpy. The volume it gives is not as good as I would have liked but then I do like really out there – “va va voom” lashes to be honest.
This didn’t really smudge on me throughout the day, which is good but its not waterproof, you have to be bit careful in that regard or get caught in the rain.
I really like the fact that this is easy to remove – one of my pet peeved are mascaras that won’t budge! Great when you want them on but who has time to take 15 minutes trying to get it off!!?
I have not used this long enough to be able to comment on the conditioning aspect of the mascara, but I have noticed that my lashes seem to be a little softer and more glossy (without mascara on) since using this mascara over the last few weeks.
Here are the ingredients:
Overall, this is a nice mascara for everyday wear but you will probably not achieve super dramatic looking lashes from it, however the novelty of the added argan oil is really interesting and worth checking out if you ask me!
Thanks for reading!
P.S – this post contains a PR sample, however my reviews are always honest and my thoughts are my own You can trust me on that, but you cant trust me not to steal your blusher if I like it!
