The Organic Pharmacy: Organic Glam Eye Shimmers

Organic Pharmacy Eye Shimmer review

The Organic Pharmacy make a whole host of organic skincare, sun care, vitamins and other beauty products made from good quality organic ingredients. They also have a gorgeous makeup range. I have previously tried the Organic Rose Balm but until now I had not tried their makeup.

These Organic Glam Eye Shimmers come in range of colours, this is what they have to say about them:

Organic Glam Mineral Eye Jewels have been formulated using 100% natural mineral powder and contain NO artificial preservatives or fragrances. Chic packaging and on-trend shades and textures mean there is no sacrifice when switching to organic and mineral make-up.

Each Eye Shimmer is £18.95 for 2.8gLink

Review:

I was sent three shadows, Charcoal, Taupe and Olive. All three shades are gorgeous and shades I would wear a lot. They also have some brighter shades out for spring/summer, you can check them out here.

The shadows are loose powder and extremely finely milled. They contain very soft micro shimmer which looks so beautiful when it catch the light and is not obnoxious at all.

The shadows have a sponge tipped applicator in the lid, which is useful as you don’t necessarily need another brush with which to apply the shadow with. I don’t generally like sponge applicators but these are really nice and I find them better than most out there.

The shadows have very good pigmentation, something I feel is often lacking with mineral makeup. These shadows apply evenly and smoothly and are buildable if you want a dramatic look. Due to their super fine texture they are very easy to blend.

I do find that you get some fall out with these, but I think thats to be expected as they are so finely milled and loose powder. I find tapping the applicator into the pot and pressing the sponge onto the eye lid carefully reduces the amount of fall out. Alternatively you can use a small eye shadow brush to apply and tap off the brush before applying to your eye.

With a primer these wear well, I did experience some fading after 8-9 hours but that is to be expected I guess. I didn’t however have any issues with creasing so that is brilliant.

I am very happy with these beauties. Like I mentioned before, they have excellent pigmentation and are super smooth. They wear very well and the quality is fantastic. The issues with the fall out are unfortunate, but not a deal breaker for me, i just have to be careful when applying. These are the best mineral eye shadows I have ever used.

I do think the price is quite high, however you would only need a small amount of product making them last for ever and the quality is really very good. I would only buy these if on sale or on offer, but if ingredients matter to you and you want very luxurious, quality natural makeup then you cant go wrong with these.

Here are the ingredients – they do contain bismuth oxychloride (a potenital irritant) but its very low down in the list:

At the moment the Organic Pharmacy have an offer on whereby if you order/buy 3 items of makeup you get a really cute patent black makeup bag (worth £25) for free!

The Organic Pharmacy have several stores in the UK where you can go and play around with the lovely makeup or you can order online.

I definitely want to try more makeup from Organic Pharmacy, if I do, I will be sure to review!

Thanks for reading!
