Caudalie is quite simply one of my favourite beauty brands, I love their philosophy of using clean, natural ingredients in their skincare products. One of the latest additions to their line of beauty products is this perfume – the fourth perfume from them – the Figue de Vigne.
This is a beautiful scent – 5oml is £26 – Link
Here is a quote from the founder of Caudalie, Matilde Thomas:
“A summer garden surrounded by vines, where the green notes of fig leaves blend with citrus and light woods.”
Matilde’s quote sums up this perfume so well, this is a gorgeous, fresh scent for summer and I adore it.
The scent is composed of fig leaves, white cedar and bergamot. There are also notes of rose and peach skin as well as orange and mandarin. These infuse together to create something quite refreshing and light. It should be noted this is not an Eau de Parfum or Eau de Toilette – instead this is an Eau Fraiche, which is the lightest form of perfume available, almost like a heavily scent body spray.
I love this fragrance, its lovely for this hot weather and whilst the perfume is good quality its not too heavy at all. I love spritzing this on when I have some in from being outside in the sun as an instant refresher.
I am not too keen on the box, the lid doesn’t really stay on it mine! I think Caudalie could have come up with something nicer but its not a deal breaker, its just an observation.
If you want to treat yourself to a gorgeous but refreshing scent for summer, this had to be it. I like the design of the bottle too – its fun and summery without being tacky or overly feminine.
I have not tried other scents from Caudalie but I will check them out soon since I really liked this one!
