A couple of weeks ago I had a great day out, thanks to a really lovely lady, Helen who organised something fun for all of us! Helen from Beautifully Superfluous blog has worked hard, behind the scenes for months getting a group of about 30 of us bloggers together in London for a really nice and fun meet up!
I have been tweeting Helen for over a year now and so I couldn’t contain my excitement at actually meeting her in the flesh and giving her a big fat whopping hug and a sloppy kiss!
We met up at Tiger Tiger near Piccadilly where Helen had laid a fabulous spread of gorgeous cake cops and cake. We got ourselves a drink and nattered away with other beauty bloggers. It was awesome since many of the lovely ladies where people I had chatted to on twitter for a long time but never met. It was so nice to put faces to twitter handles and meet in person.
The event was relaxed and informal and I loved it. The lovely people from Paper Self lashes came down and were applying gorgeous false lashes on everyone. The lashes are really unusual and fun.
I didn’t have them applied myself but here is a pic of the lovely Kat from Tales of a Pale Face with hers…
After spending a few hours chatting and having a laugh we moved onto the serious task of shopping. This involved a few visits to Libertys (of course), Illamasqua (double of course), MAC, & Other Stories, Boots….etc etc…..the list goes on! Now, I have to say, I think I was quite well behaved, I only bought a couple of Illamasqua items from their sale and a couple of things from Boots. I actually worried myself at how well behaved I was!
After the shopping its safe to say we were all pretty tired and there was only one thing for it – CAKE! Look at this beauty – although I have to say I felt a little bit sick after eating it!
We got to take home a fab goody bag that Helen worked extremely hard on organising for us – I am looking forward to trying all the bits, especially the nail art kits!
All in all, it was a really great day and it was fantastic to hang out with some gorgeous, fun girls and enjoy ourselves. I cant thank Helen enough for all her hard work and for making the event fantastic! Oh and she is lovely….I need to add that too! Thank you so much Helen!
Thanks for reading!
