Magnitone Pulsar Facial & Body Brush Daily Skin Cleansing and Toning

I think most people are familiar with Clarisonic and perhaps other electric, hand held cleansing brushes. Clarisonic is the most well known, but it comes with a high price and its just not affordable for many people, where as this is a slightly better price and can be used on the body too!

A fantastic alternative that is a good buy and comes with a brush for the body as well as the face is the Magnitone Pulsar Facial & Body Brush £129.99 – its sold in many places, including Boots.

The set comes with a brush for facial cleansing and another one for use on your body. It also has a holder for it to sit in when not in use and a mains charger. The brushes also have covers for then they are not in use. The whole device is waterproof so its ideal for use in the shower – awesome if you ask me.

The device is really easy to use – and the power of it is adjustable, there are 4 different settings so you can have the brush increase and decrease in intensity. This is in contrast to come other cleansing brushes which don’t offer this flexibility and its great if you have sensitive skin (you can even buy a separate brush for sensitive skin if you want to). I tend to use it on a medium setting on my face and the highest on my body.

I find the facial brush nice and soft for me and not scratchy in the slightest but its also fairly firm and dense so that the bristles are effective.

On the body I love using scrubs etc and I have to say whilst I like the body brush, I could also have easily loved it with a firmer, denser brush but its still good for me since I use it on the highest setting to get circulation going.

I do find a bit of “spray” on the higher settings, meaning water and cleanser can spray round the sink but its not a massive deal and its easily sorted with a wipe of the basin once you are done.

The brush claims to do the following 10 things:

1. More effective deep cleansing and removal of impurities

2. Can help increase collagen level in skin

3. Softer, smoother and clearer looking skin tone

4. Firmer, tighter feeling skin texture

5. Can help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

6. Noticeable increase in blood circulation to the skin

7. Helps reduce appearance of visible pores

8. Gentle exfoliation of dry skin for silkier arms and legs

9. Helps reduce razor rash and irritation after hair removal

10. Enhanced moisture and nutrient absorption of your regular skin products (SPF, self-tan, moisturisers)

Whilst I can by no means say that I have seen all of the ten claims come true for me (it has to be noted I have only used it for 4 weeks), I am not sure all of them are realistic, for example the claim that it will diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What is for sure is that you will have cleaner, exfoliated skin from using this which means products will penetrate the skin deeper, increased circulation and softer, cleaner skin. I love the feeling of the device on my skin- I feel like my skin is clearer, deeply cleansed and its had a good massage too!

The fact that you can use this on your body is for me, a huge plus though it has to be said the brush for the body could have been bigger if you ask me, it takes a while to work this over your whole body – lol!

The brushes are said to last for 8 weeks before you need to replace them but I think you can probably get more use from them, as long as you keep them clean and dry. The battery life on this is really good – I have been using it daily and I haven’t had to charge it yet!

I will continue using this and update my post in a couple of months as to how my skin is reacting. For the time being, its a huge thumbs up!

  • I have this and I still use it. I used as suggested for 7 days at first and I found it was way too much and got the sensitive brush – AMAZING difference for me. I typically use this now 2-3x a week mostly after I’ve taken off my make-up tbh.

I agree with the spraying I’ve found that if I wet the brush before I use it and wash my face blah blah – I use it once the excess water has kind of run from the bristles and make sure my face is quite damp xo
