KIKO: Winter Skin Saviours with the Skin Professional Line

KIKO Cosmetics Winter Skincare Limited Edition

Winter is well and truly here and January and February are likely to wreck havoc with our skin as the weather gets colder and colder (unfortunately). All skin types will suffer to varying degrees thanks to mother nature and its important to give your skin extra TLC to protect it from the elements.

KIKO’s latest limited edition range of products come to the rescue this winter and promise to deliver some much needed relief. I have put them to the test and here are my thoughts.

First up is the Hydrating Mousse – 50ml for £13.90.

This comes in a little can and I have to say I haven’t used a product like this before on my face, its a little bit like  hair mousse! This is for normal to dry skin, so its not ideal for my moderately oily skin but I still gave it a test drive.

Its very light in texture and sinks in immediately. I found that it was actually well suited to me and was very moisturising without feeling heavy or greasy. Lately I find my regular moisturiser wasnt giving me enough and skin has been parched but this has put my skin right again. A little goes a long way with this and its one of my favourites of the collection! I highly recommend you give this a try.

Then there is the Winter Sunscreen – 20ml & 2g for £9.90.

This is quite a nifty little two in one product. There is a liquid SPF 30 sunscreen for the face and a SPC 30 stick for the eyes and lip contour. This would be fabulous for taking on a skiing trip and takes up less room in your travel beauty bag.

I find this sunscreen a little heavy, but by no means it is the heaviest sunscreen I have used. I wouldn’t use this daily but it would good for a winter holiday. It didn’t break me out, which is always a plus in my book.

The novelty of having a eye and lip product built in is a fab idea, not seen this before and its a welcome addition!

I also tested the Hands & Lips Winter Balm – 50ml & 1 g for £8.90

Again, this is another nifty little two in one product which is a hand cream with a lip balm in the cap. This is a nice one for travelling or even your hand bag.

This is a lovely hand cream, very effective but sinks in right away and leaves my hands feeling pampered and super soft. I have been using this at work, where I am constantly handling documents and its not left the slightest bit of residue on any of them, which is amazing for me.

The lip balm is effective too, and there is a small mirror in the flip lid. I do like the lip balm, though its not my favourite – it doesn’t seem to have a particular scent which may be preferred by some. The texture of it reminds me of the Eve Lom Kiss Mix Lip Balm, which is a lot pricier. All in all, its a nice balm but not the best out there.

All in all, I like this collection. The hand cream and mousse are lovely and I wish they were permanent. Like nearly all KIKO products, they are paraben free, which I really like and they offer very decent value for money.

Give your winter skin a little boost and check out this limited edition range now while you can and dont forget there is a lovely big KIKO store on Regent St if you are in London or can get down to London.

Thanks for reading!
