Favourite Beauty Products of 2012!

This year I tried so many products that I have ended up loving that it was hard deciding which ones to include in this post, but here is goes……these are some of my favourites from 2012. They may not have all been released this year, but they are all products that I have started using this year and that I love!

Lancome Tient Idole Ultra 24 Hour Foundation, £27.00 for 30ml

This foundation has proved hugely popular this year and I can see why, its one of the best foundations I have ever used. Since getting a sample in January when it was first released I have used it consistently for most of the year.

In a nutshell it has great coverage without looking cakey, it does not break me out, works well with my normal/oily combo skin and one thing which is really fab is that it is long wearing! This is where a lot of foundations fail on me.

You can read my full review of it here.

If you have not tried it then go to your local Lancome counter and get a sample now! It comes in 18 shades!

GlamGlow Face Mask, from £22.50 for 15ml

I got a sample of this and from the first time I used it, I was hooked. I love face masks and I have tried out a lot but this one is a winner for me for sure. As well as being a mask, its also a great exfoliating treatment too. I would not recommend this if you have sensitive skin however.

Macadamia Deep Repair Hair Mask, RRP £23.50 for 250ml

I dont take the best care of my hair but I do love a good hair mask. This is my favourite hair mask apart from coconut oil and I do think this is worth a try. It leaves my hair silky and smooth and has really helped to tame my dry and split ends. Its not a miracle worker but I do think its one of the best masks out there and I will always have some on hand.

INIKA Blush in Peachy Keen

I am a huge fan of natural beauty products and this year I was introduced to INIKA through a beauty box subscription. Since then I have tried a few of their products and I am very much in love with this blush. Its not only a gorgeous colour but its long wearing and does not contain any nasty chemicals…..what is there not to love? The brand is also organic, vegan and halal!

Balance Me Lip Balm, £12 for 10ml

I got this free with a magazine and its one the best freebies I have ever got, its a brilliant lip balm that I have used consistently since getting it. I even stocked up on a back up! Once again, this is from a natural brand its free from nasties. I want to try more products from Balance Me next year as this was a winner for sure.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye Shadows, £4.99 each

These are definitely some of my favourite products of all time, let alone this year. I have long been using MAC Paint Pots and BeneFit cream shadows but these beat both of those if you ask me. They are creamy, pigmented, have excellent wear with primer and the best of all – they are absolute bargain! I have some of these in LE shades which were only released in the USA. I really hope we get more shades of these in 2013. If you have not tried these, what on earth are you waiting for – get some NOW!

L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadows, £6.99 each

These are awesome, I would compare then to Giorgio Armarni shadows but for a fraction of the cost! I have rapidly become addicted to these and accumulated quite a few of these! They are a hybrid of cream and powder shadows and I love the super smooth texture. They are not the longest wearing shadows, its best to apply them over something like the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, but they are lovely!

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm Stains, £5.99 each

I know these caused a storm when they were launched earlier this year, proving extremely popular. Prior to these everyone was raving about the Revlon Lip Butters, but then these babies came out and blew them out of the water. Not only are these long wearing but they are also moisturising and they give the Clinique Chubby Sticks a run for their money!

Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum, £29.00 for 30ml

Double click to enlarge

I recently blogged about this wonderful serum and how its really sorted out my skin this winter, rescuing it from being very dry in the mornings and then overly oily later in the day. Not only are the ingredients lovely, non harmful and natural but this beauty really delivers. I absolutely love it!

Australian Botanics Hand Scrub, £9.10 for 450g

Double click to enlarge

This is from a brand which I was introduced to in the summer and the poducts I have tried from them have all been lovely. This hand scrub has really stood out to me and is the nicest and best hand scrub I have ever used. Packed full of lovely natural and skinloving ingredients this is the ultimate hand pampering treatment and must be tried. You will love it too!
