The very lovely Alice, from Bright Town Girl told me about these glosses that L’Oreal are selling and that she is loving. I have been on a spending for nearly 90 days now and thankfully I had some Boots points so I popped down there for a little treat.
I picked this beauty up in shade 102 – Romy out of the 6 available shades – £7.99 but Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on all makeup!
This is what L’Oreal have to say about them:
New Glam Shine Stain Splash: it’s a gloss that acts like a stain. A FRESH SPLASH OF SHINE: our first of its kind 30% water-based formula for a subtle shine that feels fresh and barely there.
- Lightweight formula
- Non Drying
- Long wearing – stain lasts for hours
- Available in 6 shades
- Non glittery, high shine finish
- £7.99 in Superdrug and Boots (3 for 2 in Boots right now)
I am really happy with this little beauty. Not only is the colour gorgeous but the formula is lovely too! I had been really impressed with the Rimmel Apocolips (see my review for one here), but I have to say, I like this more! This gloss is super smooth to apply and feels lovely on the lips. The formula is a mixture of oil and water (30% water) and thats probably why its so light on the lips. Its not sticky on the lips at all, just lovely and smooth. The finish to the gloss is gorgeous, its just the right amount of shine and no glitter. I also love the packaging, its got a nice look to it, whilst being functional too.
The wear of this is excellent. The gloss itself lasts a couple of hour or so, but the pigmentation of the “stain” element is LONG lasting. I mean, really long! It lasts on my lips for about 5-6 hours, which is awesome for a gloss. At the same time, it doesn’t dry my lips out at all. When I swatched this on my hand for the pictures, I wiped the gloss off my hand and as you can see from the pic below, the stain was left. This pic was taken 4 hours later…as you can see the stain is going strong!
I am really impressed with this, I thought I loved the Apocolips but I think I love this more! I plan on getting more of them soon.
Alice told me that these are just like some YSL lip glosses. I don’t have any of those, so I cant compare but I do take her word for it!
If you want a long wearing, gorgeous lipgloss for Spring and Summer, I highly encourage you to check these out. Also Boots have 3 for 2 on makeup at the moment so it wouldn’t be too naughty if you picked up more than one…!??!
Let me know what you think of this?! Have you tried them out? Drop me a line and let me know!
Thanks for reading!
